Cornarea & Marc Lanteri: Piedmont Almost Veggie Dinner

The first post-holiday themed dinner is here!

When Piedmontese tasting menu is mentioned to Italian cuisine connoisseurs, most imagine tartare, vitello tonnato, meat ravioli plin, tagliolini with salsiccia, or similar nutritious dishes that are mainly suitable for red wines. We decided to go in the opposite direction and offer you an almost completely meatless menu with white wines. Together with the Cornarea winery from the Piedmont region of Roero, we approached Michelin-starred chef Marc Lanteri to prepare a vegetarian menu mainly suitable for the white Arneis variety, for which the Cornarea winery is famous.

With this, we want to give wines not only great pairing with dishes but also to show a lesser-known face of Piedmontese gastronomy, which is based on vegetables and cheeses. We are convinced that even this form of menu can be very diverse, fun, regionally consistent, and most importantly, tasty. During the dinner, you will be able to taste four different vintages of Arneis with an explanation by the owner of the winery, Piero Bovone. Marc Lanteri, originally from France, who has been working in Piedmont for 30 years, did not forget to incorporate truffles into the menu, which simply belong to Piedmont.
